The Knife Angel

The Knife Angel Visited Birmingham City Centre in May 2019. The spectacular, 27 feet high sculpture is made from around 100,000 bladed weapons collected in knife amnesties during police surrenders across the country. The Angel was created by the British Ironwork Centre with sculptor Alfie Bradley. … It’s a sad fact that knife crime is rising across the country. The sculpture is bringing to light just how bad knife crime and violence is within the UK and how something needs to change before it’s too late.
